Ivo Timóteo appointed as new CTO

April 15, 2019, Tokyo – Ascent Robotics, a rapidly growing Tokyo-based AI software developer in industrial robotics and autonomous vehicles, announced today that it has appointed Ivo Timóteo as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

In his role as CTO, Ivo will be responsible for leading the technology teams for both industrial robotics and autonomous vehicles. He has previously taken the role of principal lecturer for Artificial Intelligence at the University of Cambridge where he also worked on learning complex dynamic systems for his doctoral studies.

“We are excited to welcome Ivo to our team as we look to scale our business in the coming months”, says CEO Masayuki (Davey) Ishizaki. “His breadth of experience and expertise in AI and robotics will further accelerate our business as we aim to deliver fully autonomous vehicles and AI smart robotics by 2023.”

Fred Almeida has stepped down from his role as Chief Architect at Ascent Robotics and now focuses on other projects outside the company.
